We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our team. The Data Analyst will work closely with stakeholders across with our clients to understand and support their reporting and analytics needs. The ideal candidate has a huge passion for big data analysis.

Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain leading-edge analytic systems, taking complicated problems and building simple frameworks
- Identify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex data sets
- Evaluate organizational methods and provide source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for data sets
- Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization
- Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, developing and maintaining protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data
- Work directly with management and users to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships
- Managing master data, including creation, updates, and deletion.
- Managing users and user roles
- Provide quality assurance of imported data, working with quality assurance analysts if necessary
- Commissioning and decommissioning of data sets
- Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines
- Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata
- Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements
- Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization
- Training end-users on new reports and dashboards
- Providing technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in relevant field and 5+ years of direct analytics experience, or equivalent combination of degree and experience
- Familiarity with Web Analytics toolsets (Adobe Analytics, Webtrends, Google Analytics)
- 3 years of experience in data analysis, working with databases, and querying (e.g., SQL, MySQL, MapReduce, Hadoop).
- Experience relaying communications between technical and non-technical teams.
- Advanced skills in Excel as well as any data visualization tools like Amazon QuickSight, Tableau, or similar BI tools
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Advanced degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or relevant STEM degree
- Prior experience with database and model design and segmentation techniques
- Strong programming experience with frameworks including XML, JavaScript, and ETL
- Practical experience in statistical analysis through the use of statistical packages including Excel, SPSS, and SAS
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
