You’ve been building web applications for years. You’ve mastered JavaScript and have strong opinions on React, Vue and Angular. You enjoy prototyping new ideas just to see if they’ll actually work. You frequently take the lead on important projects and have strong opinions on team process. You’ve dabbled with mobile app development and maybe you’ve even written and deployed a lambda function or two. If this describes you, we would be honored to have you join TDG!

Responsibilities
- Work directly with designers and engineers to craft aesthetically and functionally flawless user experiences
- Build and maintain the primary public facing websites and associated tools for our websites and for our clients
- Deliver expert level JavaScript, HTML, and CSS code for modern browsers
- Influence how and what we build with demonstrated technical expertise and full understanding of user experience and interfaces
- Execute user research and gather requirements for new and existing products
- Understand and implement technologies across the full web stack
- Manage the release life cycle and feature roadmap of our products
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or science discipline and 4+ years of experience in web development; or 5+ years of professional experience in web development in lieu of a degree
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, unit testing, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Experience translating design mockups, prototypes and user stories into working applications
- Understanding of web services technologies such as REST, SOAP, HTTP, JSON
- Knowledge of front-end frameworks such as Polymer, React, Angular, or Backbone
- Experience with vector and motion graphics, including SVG, HTML5 Canvas, WebGL, and CSS
- Skills in graphic design and experience using Adobe Creative Cloud
- Experience with development for mobile platforms
- Familiarity with the whole web stack
- Experience with the Linux operating system (Ubuntu / Debian)
- Experience with version management tools (Git) and procedures
- Experience in development best practices including Agile development, peer code reviews and unit testing.
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
- Design experience and/or track record of developing with an eye for aesthetics
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
- Willing to work extended hours and weekends when needed
