We are looking to hire a dependable researcher to work on various company projects and to assist our clients in making sense of their data. The researcher’s duties include aligning methodologies with research goals, using a range of tools to acquire information and interpret data, writing up reports and presenting findings and schedules to management and other stakeholders, identifying trends and patterns, conducting fieldwork and tests when required, as well as protecting databases and confidential information. The researcher should be able to deliver presentations and communicate effectively at all levels.

Responsibilities
- Determine areas of research to increase knowledge in a particular field
- Interpret data analysis results and draw inferences and conclusions
- Use research results to write reports, papers and reviews and present findings in journals and conferences
- Collaborate with research teams, industry stakeholders and government agencies
- Responsible for the collection, analysis and interpretation of research data related to specific projects
- Formulates and conducts research on problems of considerable scope and complexity
- Explores subject area and defines scope and selection of problems for investigation through conceptually related studies or series of projects of lesser scope
- Makes decisions and recommendations that have a major impact on extensive scientific research activities
- Develops new ideas that promote current research. Exercises a high degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in planning, organizing, and guiding extensive scientific research programs and activities of outstanding novelty and/or importance.
- Ensures timely and accurate completion of research projects
- Responsible for TDG’s quality control and compliance
- Develop protocol for the collection and quality of research data
- Develops research techniques and methodologies
- Determine and establish TDG’s policies, procedures and practices
Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research or in a highly quantitative field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience (academic or industrial) in predictive modeling and large data analysis
- Proven experience in a research field
- Sound understanding of research methodologies
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Strong statistical and mathematical aptitude
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Practical experience in database management
- Attention to detail and exceptional written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Advanced degree in Operation Research or in a highly quantitative field
- Prior work experience as an applied scientist or a data scientist
- Well-versed in database management
- Industry experience writing research projects
